Back in August, Valve announced that steam would start hosting non-game software. Today marks the launch of that service. Programs like 3Dmark, Game Maker, and 3D Coat appear on the store’s front page. All the software currently available for purchase has started with a ten percent discount, giving me a bit of hope that the steep discounts prevalent on the games store might carry over to the software store.
