The coronavirus pandemic has been going on for a year, and the situation is not improving at all or is improving very little and slowly, which is why rigorous measures have been reintroduced in the form of a ban on going out at night. There is a general recommendation to avoid going out to prevent the spread of infection.
This means that everyone has to spend time at home and avoid human contact, which can be quite a difficult task because everything you find to fill in your time during a day gets bored quickly. However, the world of video games offers an unlimited choice with which you can ‘travel’ anywhere and have fun.
Curfew and isolation do not have to be punishment. You can have fun playing video games. The offer of titles is huge and you can choose them by categories, either free or paid games with huge single-player worlds. And if you live in a country where social contact is not completely forbidden and you have the opportunity to invite friends to your home, you can play multiplayer titles without problems.
Without further ado, here are our suggestions on what to play in the coming days and weeks, and which games belong to the group of those for which you do not have to pay money.
Call of Duty: Warzone
This is a relatively fresh free game, created as a standalone DLC for Modern Warfare that aired in 2019. Warzone brings the standard Battle Royale experience on a huge Verdansk map, with all the mechanics you are otherwise already used to in CoD games.
In addition to BR mode, there is a mode in which you have to collect as much money as possible, and for the future period, more novelties and raising the number of players to 200 are planned. Warzone has over 15 million players so you do not have to worry about long waits in the lobby.
Destiny 2
This title is rightly in this category as Bungie, fortunately, made it completely free to play in 2019. Destiny 2 gives you a huge world to explore, solve quests, and experience great campaigns. Or you can simply team up with friends and kill the bad guys you come across.
Destiny 2 gives you full freedom in what you do and in what order, so all you have to do is download the game on Steam.
Apex Legends
This is another Battle Royale pick, albeit a year older than that of Activision, i.e. CoD Warzone. Apex Legends carries a bunch of mechanics from the Titanfall series so it will be easy for most fans to jump in if they have not by now.
Matches take place in a standard format, but it is a big change that each character is unique and has their own set of skills. With the recent arrival of the new season, the map has undergone great positive changes, which means that it will not be difficult for newcomers to fit in.
Dauntless
Dauntless is a game that achieved success literally overnight. Many compare it to Monster Hunter: World, with the difference that it is simpler. Your task is to hunt monsters, craft weapons and equipment, upgrade characters, and continue hunting further. The game has a beautiful visual world, with an animation style that is rarely seen.
Dauntless is available through the Epic Games Store and has received a bunch of new things in the past year, which means that you will not go through all the content very easily.
Brawlhalla
If shooting is not your primary way of having fun, then Brawlhall is a good backup option. This is a free Ubisoft fighting game that allows you to measure up your strength with 7 other players and also incredibly diverse characters, so you will be able to spend hours and hours in front of the screen and not get bored. This is a great alternative if you do not have a Switch console and therefore cannot play Super Smash Bros.
Of course, there are a bunch of other games to choose from depending on your taste. As for free games, we did not mention LoL, Dota 2, and similar games (which are also popular for online betting at bookmaker-expert.com/bookmakers/) that have been with us for years. Our intention was to give you some alternatives. We hope our list has helped you…
